Abdelfattah developed feasibility studies and assisted with the establishment of Hannover Re Takaful (Bahrain). He has a Diploma in Insurance from the University of Hannover.

Houcine has spent the past 5 years with Hannover Re within the Treaty Department for the Arab World, Iran and Turkey. Most recently he was responsible for the co-ordination of Hannover Re’s Family Retakaful Business Worldwide. Houcine holds a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and a diploma in Bank Management from the Ecole Superieur de Commerce in Tunisia.

Jehan has over 7 years of experience within the insurance industry, all with Swiss Re. His most recent role was Energy Underwriter for the Industrial Risk Insurer Asia Pacific unit in Singapore. Prior to his posting to Singapore he spent 4 years in Zurich and Hong Kong in property underwriting in increasingly responsible positions handling life science and high tech business as well as other large commercial and industrial accounts. Jehan holds an MSc in Business Information Systems from the Business School (HEC) of the University of Lausanne.

Kumar spent 6 years with Qatar Insurance Company as an Energy and Construction Underwriter for major risks.  2 years prior to joining Gulf Re, Kumar worked with Marsh Energy in Dubai handling both construction and operational placement for major clients in the Middle East. Kumar holds an ACII (Chartered Insurance Institute of London), a Masters of Financial Management from the Pondicherry University in India as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Annamalai University in India.

Thana has more than 16 years of experience in insurance, having started as a Risk Engineer with Malaysian Re. Between 1997 – 2005 he served with the Aviva Group, Kuala Lumpur, as the Senior Loss Control Engineer before becoming the head of the Engineering Underwriting and Risk Control functions. Prior to joining Gulf Re in 2009 Thana was the Head of Engineering and Large/Specialised Property Risks at Malaysian Assurance Alliance. A registered engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia, he holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Science, Malaysia and is also an Associate in Risk Management of The Insurance Institute of America.

William has over 8 years of reinsurance experience with PartnerRe, mainly in Marine, Energy off-shore and Casualty.  His most recent role was as Senior Treaty and Facultative Underwriter as part of the Credit, Surety & Political Risk Department.  Prior to this he spent 5 years in Marine underwriting in increasingly responsible positions, managing and developing Offshore Energy treaty and facultative portfolios and was also involved in the strategic reviews and planning for this area.  William holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an Intermediate Diploma in economics from the University of Applied Sciences, Zurich, Switzerland.
